About Us

Dan Nelson

Dan grew up on his family’s Centennial Farm in West Michigan.  His love for the outdoors started there, and continues to this day. He attributes this passion to his father, who started taking him afield at age nine. They have only missed one deer season together, when Dan was deployed to Afghanistan with the U.S. Army in 2012. After mustering out of the Army, Dan moved back to Michigan and started chasing the seasons across the United States. From spring turkey in Michigan to conservation snow goose hunts in Arkansas, Dan enjoys it all. His favorite hunt is stalking mule deer with his bow out west. Recently, Dan moved back to his hometown, where he spends time with his wife and son, seeking adventure in the outdoors and sharing his passion with them.

“We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”
~ Aldo Leopold, A Sand County Almanac

Willie Reed

Willie is a husband, dad, brother, beer enthusiast and active outdoorsman. When he and his family are not on the run for the kids' sports or family events the whole family loves spending time in nature! Willie’s dad, Todd Reed of Todd & Brad Reed Photography taught him from a very young age to appreciate the beauty of nature. We kids followed our dad on many photo excursions both on land and in the water making us fall in love with everything about it! Not only that, but hunting and fishing was introduced to us at a young age and the appreciation for the beauty God has given us in these amazing animals. Now that Willie is older he has made a point of doing those same things with his children, Rachel, Ty, Austin, and his wife Stephanie. From fly fishing on the world renowned Pere Marquette River, to catching massive Lake Michigan King’s, to whitetail deer hunting with his boys, hiking trails at State and National Parks, and leisure boat rides become his happy places!

Sebastian Alvarado

Sebastian's family moved to Michigan from Chile when he was very young.  As a youngster, he spent all the time he could at his Grandma's farm, where he developed a passion for all things outdoors.  Bowhunting is his passion, and is proud that he introduced it to his wife, and is excited to pass it on to his son. Summertime finds him starting many of his days as a first mate on a salmon charter or the golf course, it doesn't take much convincing to get Sebastian outdoors.

“That the sport hunter is more responsible for wildlife conservation, through habitat preservation and species management (financed through donations, whopping fees, licenses, and stiff excise taxes on his equipment), than any preservationist group is not widely understood. ~Peter Hathaway Capstick, Death In The Long Grass
